RAYDON, INC.
from then to now…
1981
Raydon, Inc. got its start in 1981 in the rural West Texas town of Breckenridge as a roustabout company in the oilfield industry with owner, Darrell Shortes, taking a very hands-on approach to building and maintaining a company while keeping doing things the “right way” at the top of his priority list.
2007
Fast forward about 25 years, and the company has now expanded and opened a second location to better serve the heart of the Big Country in Abilene, TX, employing roughly of 50-60 individuals company wide.

Raydon, Inc. is honored to receive the Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Ethics, a recognition that reflects the values, integrity, and commitment our company was built upon.
2021
As another decade passes, Raydon, Inc. continues to grow and and become somewhat of a trailblazer in the industries of asphalt paving and repair, civil site works and earthwork and site utility installation in the Big Country and surrounding areas. 2021 also marks the second time Raydon, Inc. has been a recipient of the Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Ethics, having also received the honor in 2007.
2026
Today, Raydon, Inc. continues to grow and become an industry leader, now employing approximately 100+ individuals company wide. Owner, Darrell Shortes, continues his hands-on approach to business, now more than ever, with even more hands on-deck as the next generation of the Shortes family partakes in all aspects of the daily operations of the company, each playing their respective roles, all while keeping integrity, pride and respect top priority, no matter what the job at hand.
